It is most difficult to give firm prices without actually seeing the work to be done. We know that at great distances, this is neither possible nor practical. Therefore, we will attempt to give you the best estimate we can under the circumstances. If you will send your book for visual inspection, we will contact you to discuss the treatment your book requires and exactly what that treatment will cost. In the event that your book needs more than was initially visible, we always notify customers and proceed only with their approval.  If we rebind your Bible, it is done with great care. all notes and inscriptions are preserved. Our imitation leather bindings are decorated with imitation gold on both the front and spine and are given a ribbon marker. We sometimes use "bonded leather" but we call it imitation leather. Our genuine leather "cowhide" "goatskin" and "calf" bindings are a joy to see and to hold. They not only have a leather cover but the lining on the inside is also leather. Our limp leather bindings are truly that. The lettering and decoration is genuine 23K gold. The spine has raised bands and there is enough overhang on the cover to adequately protect the pages. There is at least one ribbon marker. Bibles that we rebind can be personalized on request at no extra charge. PLEASE NOTE: THESE PRICES ARE NOT FOR LARGE FAMILY BIBLES! Because large Family Bibles vary widely in their condition, it is necessary to examine them firsthand before we can make an accurate estimate. Also, shipping is always charged separately and not part of any estimate. Sometimes Bibles are in need of sewing. When sewing is required, it is carefully done by hand to insure that your book incurs no damage as often occurs with machine sewing. The quality of materials and workmanship employed in the binding of theses and dissertations is without peer. Your thesis or dissertation is sewn with super-duty nylon thread with cloth reinforced joints. The cover material can be of either imitation leather or library weight buckram. The lettering for the title, etc. is clear, straight and appropriate. Our standard format for the lettering on the cover is as follows: On the front; up to three lines of title, the author's name and the year. On the spine, the degree for which the paper is submitted, the author's name and year. Spine lettering runs horizontally. Many of these objects are Daguerrotype boxes. Most Daguerrotype boxes are suffering from the same ailments and therefore are rather consistant in the cost of repair. We can repair these no matter the condition and after repair, they quite usable. We have quoted the price on the average Daguerrotype box in need of repair. Normally needed repair: $75.00 We accept Check-By-Phone, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card and Bravo. Sorry! We do not accept American Express. It is sometimes the case, where customers want their books restored, but the cost is more than they are readily able to pay. We have the solution for this. We allow the customer to take as long as they need to pay while sending regular monthly payments. For example: If you need a year to pay, we can take twelve monthly payments while the work on the book(s) progresses. By the time their final payment is made, their book(s) is ready to ship. This plan works well and has proved to be quite popular with our customers. We charge no interest with these plans.
